It’s a game between East and West, on who will liberate
the Bangsa Moro Homeland and its people,
and dominate the economic and political advantages of the region. The Filipinos, on the other hand,
are so clueless on what is really happening and don’t even realize that Luzon and Visayas are already
being run and controlled by the Chinese. Four hundred years of endless tyranny- 300 years by the
Spaniards, 50 years by the Americans and 50 years by the Philippine Republic. May it be another
thousand years, but the Bangsa Moro People (indigenous people of Mindanao) will never bow down to
anyone except God.

It’s a wrong move for the government. They must have serious peace talks, or else this thing will
just go nowhere. |

Basilan and Sulu are flashpoints and trouble zones due to various social
and political problems.
Also the lack of political will, inept law enforcement and corruption and incompetence has allowed
it to remain as such. A thorough understanding of the people, culture and situation would be the
first step to resolve the troubles.

It should stop. Innocent people are dying. The government should address this problem.
I believe poverty is the root cause of everything with deeper problems embedded into
this war such as social injustice and poverty.

The war in Mindanao has only one root - poverty. It’s really a question of the marginalized
trying to get their voices and their issues heard by a central government that does not seem to give
a damn.

It is a burden especially to those who are caught in the war zones. The government is to be
blamed for this all out war against the rebels. How can the rebels be defeated if the weapons of
the military are not upgraded and if the soldiers are not well-trained, given good salaries and
benefits? The rebels have high-caliber weapons but our soldiers have poor weapon quality. These
are just some reasons why the rebels are not defeated. Another key issue of all this is graft and
corruption.
