What do you think should the government of Myanmar do amidst
rising political turmoil and international pressure to free pro-democracy
opposition leader and Nobel Peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi?

The government
should free Suu Kyi and hold a general
election but I doubt they would do that at
the moment. Well, miracles may still happen
if the people get involved personally and
pray for divine intervention just like
during the EDSA revolution of 1986.

To
free her immediately and the general should
leave politics to politicians. |

They
should relax; stop killing
the monks and stop killing the people. It’s
very easy. Whether they will do it is a
different question. I think for the time
being they will not. They feel secure where
they are. Nobody is challenging them
seriously enough. I think the international
sentiment is correct. It’s the Chinese who
will have to move to change their position
and I hope they do. |

The government of
Burma is an evil repressive government. They
will not free her. What we can mostly expect
is that they will not keep her safe. The
world should continue to exert efforts to
depose the entire government of Burma

Get
out of where they are and convert to
democracy and let people decide who they
want to rule the country. |

That’s
[freeing Aung San Suu Kyi] the least they
could do. They should also start the process
of democratization even if slowly, and
listen to the needs and worries of their
people. |

They cannot keep hiding their heads from
the sun like an ostrich. They should accept
the fact that they must reform. The Burmese
people are protesting and the government
should recognize that they can no longer
suppress the people’s feelings. Me, I
support the Burmese people. |

I think they should release her
and install democracy at the
earliest opportunity. |
