HOW TO GET THERE

By Private Car
Take the South Luzon Expressway and turn right at Exit 50. The sign is the Batangas, Lucena exit but this is also known as the Calamba exit, which is the final exit or the end of SLEX. Upon reaching the exit, the road is already Maharlika Highway. Follow this road. You will pass through the towns of Sto. Tomas, Alaminos, San Pablo City, Tiaong, Candelaria, Sariaya, Tayabas and then Lucena, the capital city of Quezon province.
Arches welcome travelers upon entering these towns. Continue driving until you reach the Gulang Gulang Junction in Lucena which is along Maharlika Highway. Upon reaching the junction, turn left. Approximately 15 kilometers from the junction, you’ll see the Palaisdaan Restaurant on the left side of the road.

By Bus
Take a bus bound for Lucena City. The Lucena Grand Central Terminal is the end point of all Lucena-bound buses. It is the transport hub of the province. Jeeps, buses, mini-buses and vans leading to all towns of Quezon are in the terminal. From the terminal, take a jeep going to Lucban and tell the driver do drop you off at Palaisdaan Restaurant in Dapdap, Tayabas.

from the poultry business,” shared de los Santos. Because Eto and Luming always tended their fishpond, they were able to raise good quality hito (catfish) and tilapia. Friends and guests would buy fish and request Luming to whip up a delicious dish. Her specialty is sinugno (grilled and cooked in coconut milk).

“Word spread fast and soon, many people were coming to our restaurant. Everybody loved my mother’s cooking,” he added.
