Unplug electronic devices when not in use. A lot of people take these things for granted. But the simple act of unplugging your TV after use will not only make the earth happy, it will make your pocket happy as well. Start now and rave about your low electricity bill later. Also, when shopping, it is best to take one long trip to the mall than several short ones . This way you save on fuel as well as transportation fare.

Don’t go crazy about spending too much on the holidays. For when you have the urge to splurge, think of the people, especially the kids who treat Christmas like any other day. Everything in moderation! No to overconsumption! When you spend too much, think of the people who have less. The effect can be very humbling.

As a conservation tip, save, save, save is the keyword. Prices will definitely go up but not the wages. It also helps to keep a journal of your spending for monitoring purposes. I did not believe on this concept before but certainly it works for me now.

People should stop buying imported goods and buy things locally. There are a lot of good local produce out there and people should explore. And when decorating , it’s best to use last year’s decorations than buy a new one.

I try to live the low key life. Recycling and riding my bike on the way to work certainly help..

To save on fuel, I think people should stop going to the malls and shop online instead.
