(a)Musings in the Life of a Rotarian

It was an enjoyable evening of merriment for indefatigable Rotary Int’l. District 3830 past Gov. Rafael “Butch” Francisco as the recent launch of his book entitled “(a) Musings in the Life of a Rotarian” was a great success. The talented Rotarian’s venture into writing drew droves of supporters and friends alike to the exquisite flagship store of Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street at

the Fort, including Rotary International President-elect Dong Kurn Lee of South Korea who served as the guest of honor for the night. The guests of the enchanting evening were thoroughly impressed, from the witty and intelligent commentary from the author and contributors, to the comfortable and vast area of Fully Booked, courtesy of Rhea Llamas and Liza Lopez. Congratulations for the successful launch!

The Moon Festival at Mandarin

The Multi-kalakbay awardee Mandarin Oriental Manila welcomed the Autumn Moon Festival with a celebration at the hotel’s Captains Bar. The evening’s festivities started off with entertaining performances as well as a special menu by the resident Chinese chef Chen Hann Furn at Tin Hau. Guests had the pleasure of witnessing a traditional lantern ceremony led by international geomancer Joseph Chau. Lucky guests brought home extraordinary raffle prizes compliments of the Mandarin Oriental GM Helmut Gaisberger. It was truly a magical evening.

Gracing the event to lend their support were Hon. Mayor Jejomar Binay, Ambassador Ryu Yamazaki of Japan, Eimee Cragun, Divine Lee, Sandie Poblador, Marivic Madrigal Vazquez, Andy Bautista and David Lim. Congratulations on the successful launch!
