The Americans have always had their own laws and regulations that have to be followed. These were in place even prior to when the Philippine armed forces started working with the Americans during the war. We do have our own special arrangements with them which were prepared specifically for the situation such as this in the Philippines. And that is the basis of the benefits that we are getting. So with the end of the war, Filipino veterans cannot claim exactly the same benefits as American veterans. So you cannot really expect the Americans to say that they will be treated exactly the same as their own soldiers.

Yes. I am for that because we fought hand in hand with them. They gave their lives and we gave our lives too for freedom. It’s the same.

Yes, they should, considering that they fought side by side with the American soldiers during the war. They should be given the same and equal benefits.

I think it is fair to give the same and equal benefits to Filipino war veterans. They fought hard to defend the country. I guess they deserved to receive those benefits due them.

I think it’s only fair. They only have a few years to live and enjoy the fruits of their efforts to help the American cause during the war. They stake their lives on behalf of the American flag and fought hard for the liberty they believe in.

If it’s possible, it is just fair to give them the same benefits. They fought hard and did a lot of sacrifice. I hope the U.S. Congress will approve the bill that will give them the long overdue
